 4.5 KW Belt Driven CRUISE GENERATOR for Perkins 6-354. This is a spare generator that can be belt driven off the engine or propeller shaft, giving free AC 220V/110V  power.   The aluminum mounting bracket was specifically made for the the Perkins 6-354 engine, with holes fasteners to fit that engine.  Bolts to existing threaded holes in the block of that engine, riding on the starboard side of the block, just under the alternator.  Has a custom made 12v electric clutch (fabricated from automotive aircon part for easy access to parts) allows for remote operation.  The custom made extension supporting the electric clutch has long life precision bearings mounted.    Bracket is universal in design, and can be adapted to most other installations.   Weighs approximately 120 pounds complete.   The plug on top are for either 120 volts or 220 volts at 60 cycles. This will make an excellent backup generator, and can run a good sized welder, scuba compressor, etc.

Seller Notes “This is a running takeout, on December 26 2014. Used once, but was attached to port yacht engine during last 10 years, but with belts removed. Was removed because the vessel power systems were amplified to include 2 new independent generators, 12 deep cycle batteries, a huge inverter, and 2 huge alternators, making the cruise generator redundant. Needs painting, and to change the on/off switch powering the electric clutch.”
