To all: I started designing 4th axis assembly for Proxxon MF70 about 2 years ago. A lot of CNC hobbists did nice work for designing 4th axis assembly for M70, but no one made any sale. I sold 30+ units so far. For now I am running out most of important parts and have no intention to repurchase materials. So, this is last one FOR SALE. This is a complete 4th axis assembly (Type D) for Proxxon MF70 micro milling machine. The assembly is ideal for CNC Jewelry, small gear making and other 4 axis Proxxon MF70 projects. This unit is specially designed for MF70, but also can be used for any CNC mini milling machine adding 4th axis operations. A 2-phase, NEW SHINANO KENSHI STEP MOTOR SST5BD3820, Nema 23 step motor -- 1.8 degree/step 2.4VDC, 2.8A. At the the end of cable, the phase A. B and directions were labeled as A+ Yellow, A- Blue, B+ Red, B -Black . B. New Torque Transmission gear box Model No. SW-1 ( photos show 30:1 ratio speed reducer) Gear Ratio: 30:1 Backlash: < 25 arc-minute Worm Gear Speed Reducer, SW-1H · Hollow Output Shaft: 5/8" I.D. ground and polished steel, cross-hole to secure solid driven shaft, runs with sintered bronze bushings · Dimensions: 3 3/8" high x 3 7/8" wide x 3" deep · Compression-molded glass-fill polyester gear box · Gear: Bronze gear precision-hobbed · Input Shaft: 5/16" O.D. ground and polished steel, supported by sintered bronze bushings, sealed to retain lubrication and keep out dirt · Weight: 28 ounces, Weight may vary according to ratio · · C. TO BUYTER This complete assembly can be easily installed into doverail of MF70 by fastening two screws with square nuts(included) through 2 dove rail slots of MF70. No additional work is needed except making alignment with x axis. The distance from center of close jaws to the bottom of base plate is 40mm. Assembled and tested unit includes : Motor , gear box , shaft, bracket sub assembly ( installed), motor cable plus 2 keys for mini chuck. MF70 is not included.
