The model 565 stirrer increases speed at a steady rate until the setpoint is reached, if the stir-bar is larger than 1 inch long or the liquid is too viscous, the stirbar may not reach its setpoint. The setpoint speed needs to be reduced. This product was recently removed form a start-up company. The labs that this product came from was only in existence for 2 years or less. All items that required Calibration were calibrate in February of 2011. Not all items were new within this period but we are trying to list the serial numbers so a due diligence of the items production date can be done by the Buyer. All items were working when removed. Some items we do not have the capability to test so the items are discounted so that you the buyer gets the best deal on the market.
