Offering 8 Pavlovskaya hatching eggs. while the laying is still going 1 of the most rare and beautiful Poultry breeds in the world! The Pavlovskaya is the forefather to the Brabanter, Polish, Sultan and other crested breeds I have all colors imported from GFF of Pavlovskaya (white, Pumpkin, gold). white hens are in the pumpkin and gold pens. You will receive pumpkin and gold. Chicks are doing well from the now more seasoned hens, i think it makes a big difference in this breed. I have had gold pavlov for over 3 years and my white hen is in her second year, I also have a second import white hen which was brought in to help the genetic diversity in this color. You will get some pure colored chicks and possibly new colors out of my 2 breeding pens. I am producing the required feathered toes in my chicks, very hard to find, most Pavlovs lack the required feathered toes legs and feet. About the Pavlovskaya hen: These are absolutely gorgeous chicken worth preserving for future generations! This beautiful small cold hardy fowl was brought back after intensive and dedicated breeding by Vyacheslav Komov in ST. Petersburg This so called russian mammoth breed, or the oldest russian breed was almost lost twice, brought back from a single rooster in Russia. It is believed to be the ancestor of the polish, brabanter and sultan. It was suggested that it received some of its characteristics from the wood grouse in russia. On a curious note in origin people with allergies to chicken and their eggs where able to consume and keep this breed. The Russian standard has been changed from a 5 toed bird to current 4 toes. Green fire farm import. I fell in love with this sweet natured beautiful breed and want to make sure that it gets repopulated. The hen lays a very good size egg for her size. From a russian site Pavlovskaya Russian Standard Rooster Breed Characteristics • Head: of a middle size, round • Crest: sheaf-like, i.e. the crest has a round or an oval base (without brain herniation of the skull; crest feathers are growing upwards and evenly falling apart along the whole circumference. The crest of Pavlovlovskaja rooster can be compared with a small fountain. There are also roosters with a helmet-like crest (as one of brabanter); this type is not desirable, but still should not be discarded. • Beak: almost straight, with color matching the color of the bird, rather thin with nostrils similar to one of a usual chicken without a crest. • Eyes: round, large, preferably with color range from brownish-red to almost black • Comb: butterfly-like as one of the houdan hen, but not large. • Earlobes: small, covered with hackle feathers, the colour does no matter. • Ear lobes: very small, compact, may not be fully covered with beard feathers at the base. • Hackle and beard: large, very thick, cover earlobes, the most part of a bird’s face and the neck. Well developed wedge-shaped beard • Face: red • Neck: short, slightly bent, fully covered with thick feathering falling on the shoulders. • Breast: filled, rounded, projecting. Hatching eggs are a gamble. If you cannot take a loss you should not purchase. Eggs are tested for fertility and never washed. Npip fancychickenbreedsfarm
