Double Braided Rope: Core: Kevlar Parallel Strand Cover: Polyester/Kevlar Tensile strength is 24,000lbs Aramid Fiber Rope (Twaron, Technora, Kevlar) Made by Whitehillmfg I have taken a torch to this rope and it will not burn. Held a torch flame directly on the rope for over 5 minutes and the Kevlar barely smoked. This Static Kernmantle line makes a great rope that is strong, low stretch, very low creep, and will not melt or burn. Picture is of VETS 198 by Whitehill Mfg VETS 198 is a four strand line. I have separated the four strands to get a great stiff static line that is fire resistant up to 800 degrees Fahrenheit. Minimum breaking strength is 96,000 lbs for the VETS 198-2 four strand rope so each of the four strands is at least 24,000 lbs
