Up for bid is a used Allied Radio Knight R/C Tester, Model 83Y124. The unit looks to be complete and is in nice overall condition.  There have modification made to the unit (not by me) - a larger, heavier power transformer has replaced the original one and because of that the hide away handle has been replaced with a standard handle. Also a switch has been added (see photo) that allow the Power Factor to be used for either electrolytic or paper/mica caps. Includes a COPY of the Assembling Manual which contain a schematic and parts list and a set of test leads.  I did test a known good capacitor and a resistor and values read on the tester were very close to the actual value of the components. The unit has not been calibrated nor checked for accuracy. Due to the age of the unit it is being sold AS-IS. The unit is fairly heavy, 10 pounds unpacked, because of the power transformer replacement. This will result in an increase in shipping cost as compared to a similar type unit. PLEASE NOTE - I SHIP USING FED EX OR U.S. POSTAL SERVICE.
