Anaerobic Sealant - Compare to Loctite Super Dope thread sealer is an easy to use pipeline sealant which sets fast to give an instant low pressure seal of 100 psi and raises to 10,000 psi once it cures. •Instant low pressure thread seal that cures to pipe burst pressure •Allows for adjustment & alignment of pipe fittings after application •Permits disassembly •Pipe joints and fittings are locked against vibration loosening unlike other thread sealants •Withstands temperature up to 400° F •Unfailing thread seal regardless of a multitude of mistakes •Comparable to Loctite 565 ® and other Loctite thread repair ® products. Unlike solvent based sealants and adhesives, Instant Pipe Sealants cure anaerobically, therefore, has no solvents leaking out of the sealant, leaving behind leak paths. Finally, it provides 100% sealing capability and does not shrink when curing to allow failure at a later date. Typical applications are in sealing of all types of metal threaded connections (up to 2 inches) against water, oil, grease, and most common materials conveyed by pipes. Compatible with pipe containing liquid propane. It is extensively used on pressure vessels, air compressors, hydraulic systems, tanks, etc. for positive vibration proof sealing. Where cure speed is extended due to low temperatures or inactive surfaces, activator can be used. Best results are found if Instant Pipe Sealant is applied to 2nd or 3rd threadforms. Excess can be wiped away, any migration into lines will not solidify and can be flushed away during commissioning. Resists most solvents. Temperature range: -65°F to +400°F.
