Antique Belt Driven Lathe Made By South Bend Lathe Works

US $4300

Motor, drive etc. have been stored inside. 14 foot bed. This Lathe is an antique, it is a belt driven lathe converted to run on an electric motor. Have been asked if this listing is a joke, have been told it couldn't be a South Bend. The listing is not a joke and according to the manufacturer's tag it is made by South Bend. The owner believes the Lathe has a couple of potential values; one being of historical value to someone setting up a belt driven machine shop for historical purposes or an economical lathe for someone needing the longer bed for their work. Please see other listings for additional Antique early 1900 probably through 1930s Belt Driven Blacksmith (Machine Shop) equipment; these were converted to electric motor power but the belt drives are still in place if you want to convert them back. Thanks for looking.
