I believe this printing or engraving stone is from the Norman Electricity Company of Paris France. I tried to take a photo of it while holding it up to a mirror (as you can read everything then) but it didn’t work out so I just scanned the stone itself. When I put in the heading from the stone which reads “Societe Normande d’ Electricte’” into the Google search engines I came up with the following description of the company… “Norman Electricity Company was a private electricity generation group France founded in 1888 by Pierre Azaria and Paul Bizet, who became ten years later the Compagnie Generale d’ Electricite in 1898. Its thermoelectric plant Rouen was then located at the forefront of all electricity production sites in France, the number of kilowatts sold annually per capita Founded in 1888 with a capital of only 250,000 francs and a municipal concession, it has a small power plant equipped with 4 steam engines, it wants to modernize quickly enough. Thus, the company grew in 1892: it acquires, near its first plant become too small a disused church xi century and an old Regency Hotel . The church tower is the starting tower with overhead wires that carry electricity to 800 meters around . The number of subscribers going from 305 in 1891 to 500 in 1892, 800 in 1894, 1,300 in 1896 and 1,700 in 1899. In 1892, 4,100 lamps are installed . Became the owner of the first electric production site in France, by the number of kilowatts per capita, the "Company electricity Normande" Ten years after its creation the backbone of a new company, the General Electric Company (CGE ), founded by merging with five other companies operating in the field of equipment: the SA Mouchel plants, the French Manufacture of incandescent lamps, the French Company for Spraying of Metals, the French Society of ambroid and the General Company of incandescent lamps. It will then make a turn more and more marked towards producing equipment. 1901, the capital is tripled to 30 million francs. CGE resumes concession Rouen and built a second plant, Croisset Boulevard, and in 1910 sold his rights to the Central Company for electrical distribution in exchange for 2.5 million francs. Between 1910 and 1914, the share of equipment jumped 12% to 36% of turnover, through the acquisition of a Swiss manufacturer of high-voltage lines, Sprecher and Schuh, whose processes are used by the subsidiary 'Constructions electric Delle "(Sprecher and Schuh processes), which has a plant in France. This plant is a subsidiary under the name of Electric Delle Constructions Workshops. CGE fully controlling this French company resells the Swiss company . From 1914 to 1930, the turnover was multiplied by five, contributing to the expansion of the country, at the same time, the GDP has doubled in France.”      I do believe this is the company this engraving stone comes from by further research needs to be done. The stone measures about 5” x 9 1/2 ” and is 2” thick. It is very heavy but will fit into a medium priority flat rate box so that saves on shipping. If I am going to ship it overseas it would have to be weighed first and then I will send you the amount. I believe that would be rather expensive.
