The Aritsugu Company has a 400 years history of making high quality swords and knives. This is a 30 cm./11.75"(blade length) kasanekitae(layered) yanagi.  The blade is aoko(blue) carbon steel. It is not stainless steel and must be cared for properly by cleaning and drying it after use to prevent staining. The handle is red sandalwood with a water buffalo horn bolster.  This knife is for right handed users only as it is sharpened on one side only in the traditional manner. Note:Color of bolster may vary.
