For sale is a USED Atlas head stock spindle shaft part number 10-31T used on the Atlas metal lathe 10F series and Craftsman 3986 and other 12 inch units with Timken bearings . There are some defects and an extra hole on the back end. I have chased the rear threads so your clamping collar will fit over the dings shown in one of the pics. I use a 9-124 plug to protect the rear threads on the 10F series even though they do not show one as being required like they do on the 12 inch Craftsman and Atlas. I have enclose one for your use when you assemble the threaded collar before installing the set screw. Photos show the condition of the parts and what you are buying including the front dust cover and an old bearing which has some pitting . You may need to adjust the front spindle threads which look to be snug but this depends on the threads and inside register diameter of your chuck. Better snug that loose.
