Atom Tag is a powerful but easy to use radiation detection instrument designed to use by non-professionals. It is intended to work with iOS and Adnroid smartphones or tablets. It is used to indicate the presence of ionizing radiation (X-rays, Gamma, Beta) in the environment and is suitable for various radiation detection and measurement tasks such as radiation level monitoring, land surveys, buildings and vehicles inspection, construction materials assessment, radioactive sources location, urban prospecting and so on. You can also use it in physical experiments and for educational purposes to demonstrate gamma photon or beta particles registration. Atom Tag contains a sensitive radiation detector (model SBM-20 Geiger tube, the industry standard used in many popular radiation detectors such as Terra, Radex or Soeks), all the electronics needed to get readings from it, LiIon rechargeable battery, Bluetooth 4.0 radio interface, buzzer and vibrating signal. Sturdy plastic housing protects the Geiger tube and electronics. The smartphone (or tablet) is used to collect and process the data. Wireless connection to the smartphone gives freedom to user. The dedicated "Dosimeter" app displays the results of measurement and provides a simple and easy interface to set the dose rate alarm and alert thresholds, adjust the parameters and many more. If Bluetooth 4.0 connection to the Smartphone or Tablet is lost Atom Tag works as programmable dose rate and accumulated dose alarm, accumulated dose data will be available at next Bluetooth connection.
