These are brand new, quality components that are backed by the Avery Weigh-Tronix brand. Are they more expensive? You bet they are, and you get what you pay for. About the 640 Indicator The Model 640/XL is a general purpose indicator which provides simple, yet accurate and reliable weighing used on mixers, grain carts, livestock scales, feed bins, weigh carts and many more applications. Simple Operation— ZERO key zeros the scale, PRINT key transfers weight data to printer, computer, or transfer data module (TDM-40). Gross/Tare/Net— G/N key allows viewing of either gross or net weights. TARE key is useful for temporary “zeroing” of the scale. Readable Display— 6 digit -14 segment, alpha-numeric LCD display, with bright backlighting for low light applications. (1.1") 640 or (2.0") 640XL. Rugged Construction— Seamless polycarbonate enclosure with sealed back panel protect indicator from vibration, impact, moisture and dust. HOLD— Holds weight constant when moving mobile equipment (i.e grain carts, mixers, weigh carts, etc.). Auto-LOC— “LOCK On and Hold” livestock weights on the display for easy viewing. Direct Connect— Weigh Bars can be connected directly to the indicator, saves on cost of a junction box, and increases reliability. Motion Filtering— Enhanced dual “harmonizer” fi ltering settles down weight display for easy viewing. Ideal for filtering excess motion on mixers and livestock applications. Memory Accumulators— 100 six-character alpha-numeric accumulator channels. Useful in identifying fields, seed type, livestock groups, or amounts of recipes batched and fed. Accumulate— Access memory channels with the RM key, accumulate manually (M+) or automatically with Auto-LOC. Reports— Standard G/T/N printouts available, with optional RS-232 port. Additional reports list the accumulator channels and their count, average, and total accumulations Front Panel Programming— All setup and calibration can easily be performed from the keypad without having a simulator or weights. Automatic Shut-Down— Low battery warning. Automatic shutdown below 9 volts and optional programmable sleep mode shutdown after inactivity of scale occurs. Power Recovery— Returns to same weight display after a power failure, including the latest Tare weight. About the Avery Weigh-Tronix Platform Weighbars Our industry leading technology, the Avery Weigh-Tronix Weigh Bar, was born on the farm and is specifically designed to withstand the tough conditions of the farm environment. Environmental seals and coatings protect against rain, snow, dust and mud. Weigh Bars are engineered using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and constructed to handle the toughest jobs. All these features add up to years of precise, trouble-free operation. The Weigh Bar design handles End Loading, Side loading and Torsion better than other weighing solutions on the market Our universal scale kits make it easy to implement our Weigh Bar weighing solutions into your mobile and stationary weighing needs of your operation. They can be used to build scales of almost any size and shape for your operation. Our Universal Scale Kits can be used to create Platform, livestock, split axle, bulk storage, and stationary feed mixer scales in addition to other specialty scale applications. SIMPLY ACCURATE WEIGHING The Weigh Bar has superior accuracy in all weighing environments and was specifically designed to handle the unique stresses present in mobile weighing.  End Loading causes an equal strain throughout length so all sensors detect the same strain and weight measurements are unaffected.  90° Side Loading does not cause tension or compression at sensor positions and does not therefore influence linear weight measurements  Torsion (Twisting) causes an equal strain to be measured by all sensors so weight measurement is unaffected. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ About Us We are a full-service, licensed, bonded scale company, licensed in Texas and New Mexico.
