The dimension of the crystal is 23.98mm x 44.78mm x 6.93mm (about 7.5 cc)and weighs 36.22 gram as shown in pictures. The density is therefore 4.8672 gm/cc (the published value is 4.88 gm/cc). I believe the 0.2% difference is due to the tiny bevels on it's all 12 edges. The crystal is in perfect shape, no dings, chips, cracks and polished crystal clear on all six faces. If you are into building radiation detector, barium fluoride is among the best (in terms of light yield and timing) scintillating crystals one can get. Unlike sodium Iodide NaI(Tl) crystal, it is not hydroscopic and therefore do not need to be encapsulated. It can be easily coupled to photo-multiplier without much issue.  BaF2 is transparent from UV to IR, a material perfect to be used as window in vacuum  or UHV applications.
