Battery Charger, Marquette Model 36-109 Variable Voltage Up To 117 Volt: No Load

US $910

Offered for your bid is a Marquette battery charger Model 36-109 This unique charger is based on a very expensive variable voltage autotransformer to furnish the current to the battery instead of the usual cheap multi-taped transformers found in almost all battery chargers. There is nothing inherently wrong or bad about multi-tap transformers, but the factory decides what voltages and amperages it supplies you. If you need a higher or lower voltage and amperage than supplied; it is not available. To give an example of what this charger can do, please note the following examples. Say, that you need 1 amp to prevent your battery from discharging when not in use, or you are charging a motorcycle battery. Hook up the cables to the battery, turn on the charger. Turn the big dial until 1 Amp. appears on the ammeter. Done! Another example. You want to charge this huge 48 volt lift truck battery. No problem. Dial up 10 amperes. Done! The only limitation of this charger is not to charge over 10 amperes maximum. Dimensions are 14" wide, 10" high 9 1/2"deep. about 40 lbs. Directions are printed on the face of the charger. For local purchase and pickup only. No shipping. Questions? Please use the eBay question format.
