The Navy use these on ships for super compacting. Built in 1985 it was still in the factory crate. NOS may be a stretch. The machine did have a few issues, not all functions worked. Because of the antiquated electronics we decided to scrap it all out and build a new control for it. Its all off the shelf easy to maintain / replace parts. It makes a slug 14 1/2" long and 13 7/8" diameter. With the ram retracted you can place a object up to 20" long in the chamber. It has a 7 1/2 HP motor running at 440 volt 3 phase. Can be wired for 220 The controls are 115 volt ac and 24 volt dc The pump runs at 1500 psi with a 6" diameter cylinder giving you 21 tons of force. The hydraulic cylinder seals gave out after 10 minutes. I took it to a cylinder rebuild specialist company they replaced the seals, polished the rod and somehow got the bill up to 980 bucks. Think I was had, but it should last a long time. The compactor is 8' long and 50" tall, the power pack is 36x25x56 The whole thing weighs 4500 lbs, Will ship I'm 10 miles west of Milwaukee if you would like to inspect or pickup No warranty but guarenteed not DOA Jeff 262 227 7774
