Cary Model 401 Vibrating Reed Electrometer Up for auction is a used Cary Model 401 Vibrating Reed Electrometer. This unit is in good physical condition with only minor scuffs and scratches due to normal wear. All the labeling is clear and legible. Please refer to the pictures provided below for more details on the condition of the item. We were able to power this electrometer on using a 115VAC cord (not included). After turning the "Function" knob from the off position the power light came on and the indicator needle reacted. All of the control knobs seem to be functioning correctly and we could find no obvious faults in this machine. The serial number on this unit is #343. We do believe this electrometer is in working condition but without proper test equipment we cannot say for sure. Due to the sensitive nature of this electrometer it may need to be calibrated prior to use. Due to us not being able to fully test this unit we must sell it AS IS with no guarantee given or implied.
