So, why would you want a 500 psi unit when a 10000 psi unit has a similar price? Why would Pressurments even make one? The reason is increased accuracy. If you are testing gauges in this range, THIS is the unit you should be using! The test unit was cleaned, flushed and inspected for any obvious issues. It lifted and held the full capacity (500 psi) for a reasonable amount of time. It uses 70 lbs of weights to measure 500 psi. (super accurate) The weights spin easily. No abnormal leaks. (even new units have an acceptable leak rate) I think you can use oil in this unit as well. (That will decrease the drop rate but I don't believe there is any problem with water ether ) IMPORTANT; The weight set IS the matching set originally built for the unit. ( see the serial #s match). There are several types of calibration so I have not had it calibrated. The last calibration sticker is present NOTE; calibration companies will often want to do refurbishments/repairs. Please be prepared for that. I'm just saying this unit was in service not too long ago and works mechanically, as is. The wood box is in good condition. Only the one adapter shown is included. (all you really need). The gauge is not included There is a great deal of information on line and from FLUKE. I have the manual and will email to you. I have 1 other set available (5000 lb unit) if interested. I may want to ship weights in flat rate box (separately)
