Selling a Cincinnati Horizontal 10HC CNC mill that was retrofitted in the late 1990's with a Fanuc control & servo motors. The memory was also upgraded to 128K to accommodate 3d programming. This machine has a top RPM of 4,000. You probably wouldn't want more than that on an open machine. It is very accurate and runs very smoothly. It has an "X" travel of 60", "Y" travel of 40" & and a "Z" travel of 30". It also comes with over 90 tool holders, including many collet holders, tapping heads and end mill holders up to 2" diameter, the workbench has been modified to hold over 40 holders and also comes with the machine. The coolant system is very effective and you lose very little coolant for an open flood coolant machine. The hydraulic unit is kind of noisy but you get used to it, it also has no hydraulic leaks, most machines this size are notorious for leaks. It also has 2 brand new aluminum tombstones measuring 41.5" tall x 30" wide & 8.5" thick. These were made on this machine and precision cut including grid patterns of alternating 1/2-13 & 1/2" dowels holes every inch all the way around. These tombstones in their finished state would sell for $20,000 each, weighing almost 1/2 ton each. There is also a aluminum tooling plate measuring 59.5" x 37" x 1.47" thick attached to the front of the tombstones, setup time has been dramatically reduced with this modular system, there is even a 2" plate on the table surface where the tombstones get pined & bolted in place for quick, solid & accurate setups. The tool changer was not working properly when I bought the machine so I bought another one in almost new condition. It is still sitting in the shipping crate it was shipped in, it could easily be changed by a good CNC mechanic or parts taken off of it to repair the one on the machine now. I never had a pressing need for fixing/replacing it since manually changing the tools with the air chuck is very easy, it does function just basically needs some adjustments and possibly replacing some solenoids. It also has a full 4th axis rotary table which works very well for doing 4th axis work. You just plug it in to the front of the machine & set it on top of the table and program it. I used it mostly for machining holes on the sides of cylinders but have not used it fo a while since I have been busy with lots of large parts and the changeover requires taking the tombstones off, I have turned some jobs down because it would be too costly to do the changeover, but it is good to have the 4th axis option. It also comes with owners manuals from before & after the retrofit. The vises shown are not included. It also can be programmed by any CAD/CAM software using Fanuc style "G" code. Machine runs very cool and even in 100 plus weather has kept running when other machines started failing. You will not have to make any major expenses after buying this machine, everything is complete and ready to run This machine would have to be taken in 3 sections and I would recommend using a professional rigging company. All the hoses & wires that need to be removed for moving have already been marked on both sides and I would make sure everything was separated properly for moving. I have people I have used for setting it up and even moving if interested. Machine can be seen running with appointment. If you don't think you need the tombstones or aluminum tooling plate I can work on the price with you. Also I listed the machine locally so auction may end early.
