ClearBand 5X PCR sample buffer for agarose gel analysis - New generation of DNA sample loading buffer with a unique, small molecular weight tracking dye - Tracking dye does not interfere with the visualization of DNA bands on agarose gel - Specially developed for DNA applications such as PCR analysis, which involve small DNA fragments around 100-500 bp - Clear visualization, accurate quantitation of small DNA fragments in agarose gel. The use of tracking dye in DNA sample loading buffer allows estimation of DNA migration in gel during the electrophoresis process. The common dyes used in the DNA sample buffer are xylene cyanole (XC) and bromophenol blue (BPB). In analyzing DNA, one common problem associated with these dyes is that they absorbs light and blocks visualization of DNA under ultraviolet (UV) light. As a result, DNA bands migrate at the same positions as the two dyes, 3-4 kb for XC and 200-500 bp for BPB, are less visible. ClearBand DNA sample loading buffer contains a smaller, orange-color tracking dye which migrates about 50-100 bp in a 1% agarose gel. It eliminates the problem produced by the two common tracking dyes and gives clear bands in every gel analysis.
