The first edition of this book was written solely by R. J. McKay and R. Worthington and it was published in 1936 as one in a series of Monographs by the American Chemical Society. Topics in this book were written by a number of authors including the books editors, F. L. LaQue and H. R. Copson of The International Nickel Company. The book was copyrighted in 1963 by Reinhold Publishing Corporation. This is one of the 1965 second printings of the second edition. Condition – The book includes tables, diagrams and some illustrations including a few photographic picture illustrations. The book is clean and complete. The cover binding is square and both cover and pages are tightly bound. The dark blue cover cloth with gold spine edge print is unfaded. Cover cloth wear is minimal consisting of a couple minor scuffs and mildly bumped corners. There is a previous owners name written on the top of the otherwise blank front end page. There are no other markings in the book. There are some minor wrinkle type creases on two of the pre-text pages and a few pages have small corner tip creases. There are no torn, missing, loose, or marked pages of the text. The text is printed on a higher than normal quality gloss type paper. The book is in very good+ condition. Buyer pays S&H.
