This listing is for a wooden cup attached to a plastic stand - this could be used as a pencil holder, a decorative vase, toothpick holder, possibly an award or trophy - I will leave that up to your imagination! (A few people have suggested to me that it is an egg holder/egg cup, but it seems a bit large to hold an egg.) If I had to guess, I would say it probably had a lid at some point, which has gone missing. The base is like a Lucite, plastic material of some sort.
