Replacement locking "bullets" for your Delta Unisaw vertical and tilt adjustment knobs. This sale is for a pair of these brass/bronze alloy bullets to repair the locking mechanism for one blade position control shaft of your Unisaw. When you are restoring your vintage Unisaw don't overlook replacing those worn and deformed brass plugs that provide the interfernce fit locking of the handwheels that adjust both the vertical blade height and the tilt angle. Prior to 1950, Delta Unisaws used a pair of steel wedges to expand into the outer housings of the adjustment shafts to lock the shaft positions in place when the center knob was tightened on each hand wheel. Somewhere around 1950, Delta's Unisaw design was improved by substituing a pair of "brass bullets" that expand outward from the shaft centerline to contact the inside diameter surface of the shaft's housing. This was a much improved design in both fit and function of the locking mechanism. However, over time these bullets can get deformed by constant contact with the inner housing, especially if either handwheel is ever turned with the bullets in the lock or near lock position. With your saw apart for rebuild, these are a very easy item to install. Each saw uses a pair of these "bullets" on each of the adjustment shafts or a total of four for a complete saw rebuild. These bullets are of all new manufacture. We accurately machine our replacement "bullets" to OEM dimensions from premium .312 inch diameter high-strength bronze (Alloy 642), also known as aluminum silicon bronze. The cost for a single pair of these locking bullets, to complete the locking mechanism on one of the two shafts on your Unisaw, is is $7.50. For the two pair necessary to rebuild both shafts of your saw, the cost is $15.00. Shipping is FREE to anywhere in the lower 48 states.
