Gel Foam Mattress Overlayby Drive Premium Guard Gel Foam Overlay utilize a combination of 3 gel bladders and high density foam shell and support base for added patient comfort. This gel foam overlay is useful for preventing, treating and managing pressure ulcers. The Urethane coated nylon cover of the gel mattress overlay is water resistant and vapor permeable. The vinyl base provides a waterproof mattress overlay that is resistant to stains. This gel mattress overlay comes with four elastic corner straps to secure the gel overlay to the bed. The one piece construction of the gel mattress requires no assembly. I bought this for my Mom who could not walk due to diabetic neuropathy, while waiting for this one to come in, the doctor had already ordered her a different kind of air mattress. The last one she had lasted 10 years and she did not get one bed sore. If you are looking for something to prevent bedsores this is what you need .
