Item recovered locally, semi tested and sold AS IS. This auction is for a DuKane Compact 3200 Series Intercom, 75 Room, Model 12A3212-75. I have had these in before and they are so large and heavy that I usually tear them apart into modules and sell the parts, like the switch panel, users control panel, power board, etc. This one was too good to tear apart, so I am going to try to sell it as a whole unit instead of parts. This unit has all the switches intact (most I get in have a few broken switches) and they all seemed to function well. A couple might have a little dust in them, and might need cleaning, but as you can see by the picture (pic 1), all the switches lit up fine. There are 75 different switches, and I believe you can wire them or modify them to whatever you want to use it for. The INTERCOM / PUSH TO TALK green light comes on when one of the switches is flipped up into the INTERCOM position. The down position on all the switches is PROGRAM, and I don't know anything about that. This also has a real nice Panasonic Model R111U radio/tape player in it. I pushed the TAPE/TURNER button and I turned on the radio, and since we are in a large metal building, and there was no antenna hooked up to the radio, all I could hear was hiss, but probably works just fine. It did light up fine (pic 4) and showed some info on the screen for radio station. I found a cassette tape and put it in, and it worked perfectly. I found out that you don't need to turn on the radio with the power knob if you are just using a cassette. Did some playing and adjusted the two knobs shown in picture 8 to get the volume I needed, and it did come over the internal speaker very well. You can see by the picture that the sound meter lights work just fine too, and the volume was plenty for an emergency unit. Hit rewind and fast forward, and that worked fine. The eject button ejected the tape nicely. When the PUSH TO TALK red button is pushed (pic 9), the red light comes on and when first pushed, makes a short tone sound, but after that, no tone sound. When the DONE button is pushed, there is an up and down tone sound, like you hear in emergency situation. The back of the unit has many different connections for different applications. I didn't hook up anything to these, just assuming everything works fine. No time to fully test, but looks like it works fine with what I have talked about. Like I said, I usually tear these apart since they weigh a LOT, but this was too nice to tear apart, and was brought in because they were installing new equipment, so I'm pretty sure everything will work just fine. I have sold the power panel, control panel and switch panels from the one I tore apart a while back, so the parts sell pretty easily. I do still have the back panel to a Dukane Compact 3200 model number 12A3200-25 if interested, it is still for sale. This seems to be a very nice unit, and could save you hundreds of dollars if you have to buy new. Buy used and save lots of money. If not sold within a month, will probably tear apart and sell as parts again. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING DUE TO WEIGHT AND SIZE. Will package with care. Thanks for your time.
