 DUMORE SERIES 28 DRILL-N-TAP DRILL HEAD Includes the Drill Head and column Tested and working As Pictured Please contact me for shipping Dumore Series 28 automatic feed drills and tappers, or self feed drills and tapping units, are cabable of both drilling and tapping. The motor automatically reverses for withdrawal after tapping. No mechanical parts – gears, clutches or lead screws – are required, eliminating the major cause of problems in ordinary tapping machines. Series 28 automatic feed drills and tappers have a drilling capacity of 3/8" diameter (mild steel), tapping capacity of 1/2" diameter (mild steel), are capable of drilling and tapping class 2 threads ranging from 4-40 to 1/2-13 threads per inch, and accept multiple spindle drill heads. Like all Dumore automatic feed drill units, the Series 28 has a low air consumption requirement of 5 scfm or less.  Specifications Stroke Drilling  0-3” adjustable to within ± 0.001” Stroke Tapping  0-3” adjustable to within ± 0.001”, repeats to within 1/2 turn Spindle Speeds  265, 370, 505, 695, 945, 1,380, 1,870, 2,565, 3,500 and 4,900 rpm by changing pulley combinations using reversing motor, and 400, 560, 765, 1,055, 1,430, 2,085, 2,825, 3,880, 5,300 and 7,200 rpm by changing pulley combinations using non-reversing motors Spindle Taper  Jacobs #2 Drilling Capacity  3/8” (mild steel) Tapping Capacity  1/2” (mild steel) Chuck Capacity Drilling  #60 – 3/8" Chuck Capacity Tapping  #4 – 1/2" Thrust  450 lbs maximum at 100 psi line pressure Rapid Approach Feed Rate  Up to 600 inches per minute Return Rate  Up to 600 inches per minute Controlled Feed Rate  Down to 2 inches per minute @ 450 lbs thrust with optional hydraulic control Controls  Built-in electrical and pneumatic controls Bearings Precision duplex sealed ball bearings Lubrication  Automatic through filter/oiler/regulator assembly Weight  42 lbs
