This is a foundation microscope that you will enjoy for many years to come. The FP body tube includes the usual Leitz 38mm open vertical camera port for connection of your DSLR or MILC with suitable adapter. This is the later model Panphot s/n 693680 with in-base field diaphragm for Koehler in transmitted light. Includes a clean 600 condenser with the LWD L11 0.60 condenser cap. No eyepiece is included in the auction and the objective shown on the nosepiece is NOT included....reference only. The quadruple nosepiece comes with BOTH the finite 170mmTL relay lens as well as an infinity relay lens that is interchangeable. RMS threads. You can then use this with older 160/170 RMS objectives or any of the current RMS threaded infinity corrected objectives....or older AO objectives. A mechanical stage is included with substage coaxial right hand controls. The FP tube takes any RMS (23.2mm) ocular...it should be an adjustable style. No lamp iis included in this auction so you can add your existing lamp or get LED based on your exact needs and budget. This is a DIY hobbyist dream scope! Set up for transmitted light but you can easily add a veritcal illuminator (Ultrapak, Opak, HD etc) from the black "Ortholux" series and do incident light methods. The large knurled knob on the left side of the heavy column controls a mirror for quick change-over from transmission to incident light. If you have an Ortholux and want to expand your collection....this is the one to get! It is built like a tank and in excellent condition for an item that is probably over 50 years of age. Big, bold "Leitz" label on the base. The stage drops (z-axis) several inches for inspection of large objects. This is the stand for intravital research microscopy (small, live animals). This one will be at home in your hobby lab or any state of the art physiology lab doing intravital studies. Metallurgy or materials science. Perfect for an Ultrapak user....any serious Leitz user will know the advantages of Ultrapak. Heavy shipment in two boxes will come UPS Ground.
