All new hand crafted battery conversion adaptor for Eberline SK-1 amplifier/speaker attachment. The NEDA 220 Eveready 505 batteries are considered obsolete you can still find them but the price is pretty high and you are probably buying new old stock batteries. After checking with my local parts house and Batteries + being told they could special order them none have stock they would cost about $20.00 per battery so I figured there must be a better way to deal with this issue. After experimenting with lower voltages I found no significant loss in volume at 12 volts as opposed to 15 volts by ear or with my sound pressure meter shown in photo but NOT INCLUDED so I have devised an easy to install battery adaptor that requires no tools or soldering just remove the old battery clean terminals if corroded with sand paper place the adaptor + end with large hole over the contact press forward on rear of adaptor and spread back slightly on the - end with spring and large brass contact until it clears the negative end press down until even with holder that is it you are ready to pop in and out A23 12 volt batteries from now on. ( just leave the adaptor in place no need to remove it again when replacing batteries pull down with finger nail or small tool on the positive end of the old A23 and it comes out of the adaptor to replace the battery slide the negative in facing negative end with spring press downward to compress the spring and push down the positive end it is just that easy.) A23 batteries are available everywhere they are alkaline batteries as used in remote controls, garage door transmitters, alarm system remote panic buttons, wireless door bell buttons, cameras, toys, and more you can get them single or a two pack full retail for two pack at the grocery store is $4.99 and way less other places. I have has several of these SK-1s running 24/7 for over a month at high pulse rate and the battery still measures 12 volts and no decrease in volume. You are buying one or more battery adaptors only.
