The Eldex Column Heater improves the reproducibility of retention times in chromatography by providing a stable, temperature controlled environment, controlling temperatures from 5°C above ambient to 150°C. Insures Reproducible Analyses The Eldex column heater will accommodate up to four standard 30cm columns up to 3/8 inch O.D., plus guard columns. A variety of column sizes can be used in the same heater, as the aluminum inserts are interchangeable. Column of up to one inch O.D. can be used without inserts. Convenient to Use Tubing can enter and exit at any point along the heater module, minimizing tubing length and extra-column dead volume. The heating block can be either vertically or horizontally oriented, depending on bench space and system configuration limitations. Assures Safe, Accurate Control The control unit allows temperature settings in one degree Celsius increments, with stability of 0.1° Celsius or better. An independent fail-safe circuit protects your columns in the unlikely event of electronic component failure by switching off the power to the heater. Provision is also made to channel fluid spills away from the electronics. Insulation minimizes outside case temperature and contributes to increased thermal stability. The Eldex column heater is a proven design that will provide a stable and reproducible environment for optimizing your chromatographic separations. Specifications: Maximum Temperature: 150° Celsius. Minimum Temperature: 5° Celsius above ambient. Stabilizing Time: Ambient to 60° Celsius in 10 minutes. Temperature Stability: ±0.1 Celsius, or better. Temperature Repeatability: ±0.1 Celsius, or better. Dimensions (DxWxH): Heater: 16.5 cm x 11.4 cm x 47 cm (4.75 in x 6.5 in x 18.5 in). Heater Interior: 5.7 cm x 10.1 cm x 40.6 cm (2.25 in x 4 in x 16 in). Controller: 16.5 cm x 24.8 cm x 11.4 cm (9.75 in x 4.75 in x 4.5 in). Weight: Heater: 5.7 kg (12. 5 lbs). Controller: 2.3 kg (5 lbs). Electrical: Voltage/Frequency: 115-230VAC/50-60Hz. VA rating: 260.
