i am selling this item which is new and comes as seen with what is seen. it is completely new and it does not come with the original box. The centrifuge 5424 is a 24-place microcentrifuge for 1.5/2.0 mL tubes. The 5424 can reach a maximum rcf of 20,238 x g/14,680 rpm. Design allows safe centrifugation of hazardous materials. High speed motors generate g-force sufficient for a variety of molecular applications including DNA, RNA and protein separation and isolation. The centrifuge 5424 can be equipped with up to four different rotors: an aerosol-tight standard 24-place rotor, a 4 x 8 tube PCR strip rotor (max. rcf: 18,615 x g), a specially designed KIT rotor for processing spin columns, and a special coated rotor for ultimate chemical resistance. Timer can be set from 1 min to 9 hr, 59 min or hold. An “at set” feature allows the timer to start counting when the start button is depressed or when the rotor reaches its preset speed. Other features include an “end-of-run” alarm with adjustable volume, a SOFT-brake function, an adjustable short spin speed, a parameter lock to prevent accidental changes and a screen saver option.
