Thermo Scientific has released the Clinical Centrifuge IEC Centra CL2, which can conveniently accommodate Aerocarriers and is the perfect option for containment of samples. The timer's "at speed" functionality kicks in when the rotor achieves 95% of the designated speed. The keypad features a high-quality membrane that can be used with gloves and can receive speeds ranging from 1,000 to 8,500 rpm in intervals of 100 rpm. The speed and time will be displayed on two digital LCD screens. The machine also provides timers for durations starting at 30 minutes.
