ESE ES-103 GPS Satellite Master Clock Receiver Photos show the actual item for sale Note: These clocks are configured by means of a small control application that runs under Windows (64 Bit etc not tested) and which communicates via a serial cable (not included). So please only purchase this if you have a PC with a serial port and cable which you can use to set up the date, timezone offset, cable length etc. You will therefore most likely need to run the config application when you first power up the unit before it will show the correct time. If required I can send the buyer the control application via email. For a permanent installation an external antenna is recommended and I have some related hardware also listed on eBay. A custom cable of the appropriate length to connect the external antenna to the receiver can easily be ordered on line (usually TNC Male and N Male connectors). This unit has the BBU back up battery option installed - and while the battery is still believed to be good, it is being offered on an as-is/unwarrantied basis and probably should be renewed as a matter of course before installation. This is a 115V AC device. No warranty offered on any internal battery which have finite life. Description The ES-103 is an affordable yet very accurate GPS Master Clocks/Time Code Generator. It receives time and date information from Global Positioning System satellites and supplies the data to the user in several different forms. An eight-channel receiver is employed that is capable of tracking up to eight (8) satellites simultaneously, although reception of only one is required for time data to be output. More details may be obtained from the User Manual. The unit provides ASCII (RS-232C), ESE-TC89 and ESE-TC90 Time Code outputs, two (2) One Pulse Per Second outputs and a GPS “Lock” output. The ES-103 has a 9-digit display (day of year, hours, minutes & seconds) and an IRIG (‘B’ or ‘E’) timecode output.
