You are looking at a Felder CF 741S Professional . This machine was bult in the year 2000 . I have purchased it a year ago with electrical problems hence the "for parts or not working " in the title . Now life forcing me to part with it . It needs a new circuitboard installed or the existing one repaired. As far as we have diagnose the problem we have found the contactors that should turn on the motors are stuck . Here is what it needs : Since Felder do not sell the original circuit board anymore nor they sell any parts for it . (it is a Siemens board and you might be lucky finding the parts at Siemens and save a lot of money too) . My approach was to order the newer circuit board from Felder and have them install it . This way I would have full warranty on parts and labor . Felder USA quoted the job just under $2000 . $1000 parts and $1000 for rewiring for the updated panel . Everything else is in grate working order . According to Felder , the only difference between a brand new machine and this one made in 2000 is the circuit board . But if you have the updated circuit board installed you will have a machine exactly the same as a new . I have also quoted a new machine from Felder with exactly the same options as this one has and the price what I got was just under $43.000. I have set the price at 50% It is a very well set up machine with a lot of extra options . Incase if you dont know ,these machines are always built to order. First you have to choose the options you like to have in the machine than pay for it , wait a few months to get it . With the serial number you can call Felder USA at: 866 792-5288 they will be able to tell you the whole story of this particular machine . Also you can quote the parts as well while you are on the phone . Here is a youtube link to a video that best demonstrates the machine.Search youtube for : FELDER® - CF 741 S - THE WINNING COMBINATION Here is a few options that this machine has : power saw blade raise and lower power raise and lower for the thickness planer power raise and lower for the shaper spindle tilting shaper spindel The largest shaper cutter size is 5"high and 9" in diameter on a 40mm spindle quick change shaper spindel included the 40mm for shaper cutters and a 1/2" router bit spindle all power raise and lower options have a micro adjustment at 0.1mm increments that helps with repeatability 8 1/2` sliding table that has new bearings installed recently Power feeder with tilting base means the feeder is always on the machine but can be folded out of the way .It can be used with the shaper , saw and the jointer , very nice option . In case if you are not familiar with European woodworking machinery I would strongly recommend to educate yourself at least to the point where you can make the right decission . It is a totally different world from traditional American woodworking equipment . Please dont take it wrong , Im not saying that American made machinery is no good in any way . I did built a lot of nice pieces of furniture on traditional American made heavy duty equipment . So Im not trying to say its uncomparable but in my honest opinnion I would have to say that these Austrian made machines from Felder are superior to currently manufactured American made machines . First reason is most of US equipment is manufactured in china … they are not stronger nor heavier anymore than the European counterparts . They are not cheaper at all if you add up all the separate machines that this 5in1 combo represents you are going to be right at about the same price . When I bought this machine I felt like this is an opportunity of a lifetime . In the last few years i was looking for something similar and this one was the second one for sale in at least in the last 2 years . People dont sell these cf741-s one because the new 741s pro is no different than this 2000 model year . The only difference is the electrical system . Felder ofcourse did made some new options available but its all upgradable and expandable . Parts are always available trough Felder USA to the last nuts and bolts , cast iron parts as well .
