VOC 10g/1000g Non-Flammable – Flash Point > 200° F DESCRIPTION Foxfire Efflorescence Remover is a blend of inorganic acids in a surfactant solution of water soluble and biodegradable detergents formulated to clean masonry surfaces. Efflorescence Remover eliminates water soluble salts from most masonry surfaces. USAGE Product can be used on concrete, precast and cast-in-place, aggregate, brick, stone surfaces, mortar, and masonry units. PRECAUTIONS Use eye protection, gloves and appropriate clothing to avoid skin contact. Protect all non-targeted surfaces, window glass, vehicles, aluminum, paint films and plant life from overspray. Remove overspray immediately with soap and water. Non-protected surfaces should be pre-wet with water and continuously rinsed with water. Pedestrian and auto traffic should be diverted. APPLICATION: Shake well before using. Protect from freezing. Method: Acid-resistant low-pressure sprayer with flood jet nozzle or acid resistant brush. Application air temperature 40°F or above. If freezing has occurred, allow masonry to thaw before applying. Perform test area on the required surface to determine product effectiveness and coverage. Depending upon the type of masonry and the magnitude of the efflorescence problem, product can be used at different dilution ratios. Consult Foxfire for dilution information, further information or installation instructions. Apply Efflorescence Remover liberally with a soft densely fibered synthetic acid brush or an acid-resistant sprayer. Sprayer should be set with low pressure (25 psi or less) using a flood jet nozzle. Let the product work on the surface for 5-15 minutes. Cycle washing may be needed depending upon the level of contamination. Rinse area with a pressure washer (1500 psi or higher) until all foam disappears. For continued protection from moisture, mildew, water damage, and other atmospheric pollutants, we recommend treating the newly restored surface with Foxfire 5000WB water repellent. CLEAN UP Do not leave behind any empty containers or equipment with leftover residue. Label containers for appropriate disposal.
