CORNING PC 351 HOT PLATE STIRRER Offered for sale is this sound laboratory device.  It operates as designed and desired with no fuss.  Clearly stated is that the magnetic stirrer and hot plate work.  Center light illuminates entirely, both dials turn left and right at the user's command.  Upon startup of the stirrer a gentle and normal rumble is heard.  The heating element starts quickly with no long wait time and reaches high heats. Be assured this hot plate is safe for handling.  Any residue seen and later felt is inert precipitate leftover from simple classroom experiment demonstrations.  Nothing caustic and nothing that will cause death or harm.   Of little concern is torn wire casing.  This is to be remedied easily with either e-tape or removing the baseplate and shortening the cord.
