Graco Pro XS3 65kv (used/demo gun) Electrostatic Spray Gun w/Smart Display Used for air spray application of liquid solvent based paints Can also be used for water borne coatings as well.....according to Graco's literature THIS IS NOT AN AIRLESS SPRAY GUN This is a used / Demo Graco Pro XS3 65kv electrostatic spray gun with a digital Smart Display. This spray gun was used for a demonstration which lasted less than an hour. This gun performs exactly like brand new, everything works as is suppose to. As you can see by the pictures it looks virtually brand new. The spray gun pictured is the actual gun that you will receive with this system set up. The 2-1/2Qt remote paint tank & hoses are brand new / never been used. The static ground air hose is brand new and are made up for each unit sold. I manufacture the Left hand threaded grounded air hose fitting that is required to connect the air to the spray gun and are tested for continuity. Both the grounded air hose and paint fluid hose are approximately 78-80" long I assemble each system as they are purchased and test the spray gun for spray pattern adjustment, quality of spray, air & fluid leaks and kv power output of the electrostatics. I also test the air regulator on the remote paint tank for function. I do not sell junk, every unit I have sold I would not hesitate to use myself. This is a complete electrostatic spray system! All you need to do is supply the clean, dry compressed air and the paint. If you have never used electrostatic equipment then you WILL also need to learn how to use it. This system is comprised of the following components: 1 - Graco ProXS 3 65kv gun with Smart Display as described above 1 - New 2-1/2 quart paint tank 1 - New 78"-80" paint hose 1 - New 78"-80" static wire air hose 1 - New 50' Binks air supply hose with integral static ground wire built into the hose itself with a 25' length ground wire crimped to the end of the air hose where you would attach the hose to your air supply. I have added a brand new 50' foot length of Binks static grounded air hose to this system. This alleviates the need to have a ground wire running from the 2-1/2 quart paint tank to the active earth ground along with your air supply hose. By having the air hose with the static ground wire then the only thing necessary is the 50' air supply hose because of its grounding ability. You simply attach the eye connector located on the end of the 25' green ground wire (crimped to the air hose end) to the earth ground. NOTE: THIS SAME GUN IS BEING OFFERED IN ANOTHER LISTING OF MINE BUT WITHOUT THE ADDITIONAL 50' GROUNDED AIR SUPPLY HOSE. When one of these two listings sells I will end the other listing. The ProXS3 produces a 65kv electrostatic field There is a switch on the back which allows the operator to turn on and off the electrostatic charge. We use these electrostatic spray guns to apply epoxy primers, 2k urethane primers, base coat colors, both solids and metallics and urethane clear coats. It is amazing to see how nice pale gold metallics lay out. The Graco tech reps that I have spoken with in the past have told me that that these cannot be used with metallic paints because it causes to metallic particles to "orient" themselves......so much for what they know. I have used the Pro3500 & 4500SC guns with many different paints and colors, both single stage and base coat/clear coat two stage paints having metallic particles and I can say from experience that the metallic lays out or should I say "orients" itself very nicely and uniformly, much better than with ANY HVLP, DeVilbiss or Binks spray guns that I have used over the past 33 years custom painting helicopters, airplanes, yachts, motor coaches, hot rods, antique, late model & exotic automobiles. Anybody that thinks HVLP can give you similar transfer rates is simply clueless or delusional, HVLP does not come anywhere close...........unless you have no idea what you are doing with electrostatic equipment and it is being used incorrectly. These spray guns are amazing and have saved me a small fortune just in paint savings not to mention reduced labor cost due to less time required to apply the paint. Just to be able to spray large items like buses and helicopters and NOT have to watch a cloud of paint get drawn into the exhaust is very nice, specially when the base colors cost $600 per gallon. I sold two of these set ups to a guy in Arizona, one was a Pro4500SC the other a Pro3500SC. He told me that when he was using HVLP guns he went through 45-60 gallons of paint per week painting new wrought iron fences that he fabricates. With the electrostatic spray guns he now only uses 10 gallons of the same paint to paint the same number of fence sections that previously required 45-60 gallons per week. That’s just in less paint consumption; his labor to apply coatings is a fraction of what it was. You don’t have to be Einstein to figure how much $$ was going into the filters of his spray booth, it now goes into his pocket. Just to be conservative, 40 gallons of cheap acrylic enamel is going to cost you at least $60 per gallon. That’s $2400.00 bucks PER WEEK in savings $$$. So, you think these toys are expensive, well, they are, but if you are spaying substantial quantities of paint per week you can recover your money in a relatively short period of time……then, what $$ you don’t give to your paint supplier can go into your pocket. I have NEVER met a paint supplier that had anything good to say about electrostatic spray systems……..gee, I wonder why. Start reducing your paint usage by 40-70% and see how happy your paint supplier(s) are. Forget all that HVLP junk, if you want transfer efficiency and a high quality atomized spray then this is the way to go. I have always been a Binks Model 7 fan since getting into this industry back in the late 70’s but these Graco guns spray every bit as nice as any Binks or DeVilbiss gun I've ever used. These Graco electrostatic guns are the only spray guns that we use for painting anything requiring more than a 1/2 pint of paint. If you are painting objects like truck & car frames, bicycle or motorcycle frames, pipes, metal fencing and unusual shaped objects you can actually see the paint being drawn to and wrapping around the object being painted. You will be amazed how much less paint material it takes to apply a finish to metal objects with these guns. We use these spray guns in conjunction with 2, 5 & 10 gallon Stainless Steel paint tanks. We even have a couple of them set up with 2 quart remote paint tanks like I have pictured here. You hold the paint tank in one hand and the spray gun in the other. Stop watching your paint go into the exhaust filters and make it go onto the object you are painting. Spray booth exhaust filters aren’t cheap either. I personally use these model electrostatic guns for painting turbine helicopters. I have tested this spray gun and the electrostatics work perfectly fine and the spray pattern is fully adjustable and is of high quality. If used correctly this electrostatic gun will save you substantially, both in materials & labor. I make up these 2-1/2 Qt remote tank set ups. You can’t get a short Graco grounded air hose with that funky left hand thread fitting, SO I MAKE THEM, I machine that little left hand thread fitting that Graco will not sell and I use a very expensive crimping machine to fasten the fittings to the hose ends. I also test the grounding capacity of the air hose where it attaches to the gun back to the end of the ground wire. ALSO, anyone in need of an air hose that has the static ground wire built into it, similar to the Graco hose, I can make up any length and install the left hand thread air fitting for substantially LESS than what it will cost you from a Graco dealer, it will also have the 25' ground wire attached to the opposite end just like the OEM Graco hose. The fluid line, air line, 2-1/2qt remote paint tank and ground wire are all brand new, unused. Keep looking on ebay most likely you will see me list one just to compete with the few that you see listed here. TRAINING IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE PURCHASE OF ANY OF THESE SYSTEMS.
