This is a used Sensormatic SuperTag AMD3040 and it removes the pin from Super Tags and SuperTag II hard tags. The Sensormatic AMD3040 also known as the MK225 hand held detacher has a security device embedded in the handle that sound the EAS systems alarm if an shoplifter attempts to bring in or smuggle out a detacher. This detacher is from a store closing and I am not certain the alarm chip in the handle is still active.
