Up for auction is a Hardinge Sjogren 2J speed chuck with 35 2J collets and a Rigidtrue 2J ID master collet and threaded adapter. I collected this stuff for my Monarch 10EE and just never used it. It has been sitting in a cabinet next to the machine for the last 15 years, so it's time to pass it on to someone who will use it. The collets range in size from 1/32" to 1-1/4" diameter, and all are marked Hardinge or Monarch. All of the threads, tapers and bores are in good shape with only light surface corrosion from not being used. A very light polishing with a Scotch-bright pad will have them looking as good as new. Some of the collet threads and bores still have a cosmolene coating, so I doubt they have ever been used. Email me if you want to know if a certain size or sizes are included in the lot. Also included is a brand new Rigidtrue 2J master collet and thread adapter which has never been used. This setup will fit any toolroom lathe with a D1-3" Camlock spindle such as Monarch, Schaublin, Rivett and many others. The nice thing about the Speed chuck is that it is "Dead length", which means it does not move back and forth in "Z" axis if the size of your work varies. Shipping weight is 46 lbs.
