Overall, the Howard's Engineering 600 Series Heat Exchanger is a reliable and efficient choice for transferring heat from steam to water and providing an instantaneous supply of hot water. The Howard's Engineering 600 Series Heat Exchanger also includes Teflon baffles with stainless steel tie-rods/spacers, 1.5” thick insulation with stainless steel jacket, an internal load anticipator, and a mechanical thermostat for over-temperature protection. For added safety, there is an over-temperature safety solenoid purge valve, a water thermometer, and ASME Code Section VIII pressure relief valve, and ASME Code Section IV temperature and pressure relief valve. The heat exchanger also comes with a steam control valve (accessories included), a steam vacuum breaker, a steam pressure gauge, and a float and thermostatic steam trap. To operate the Howard's Engineering 600 Series Heat Exchanger, a single power supply of 100-240 VAC, 50/60 hertz, to the control panel is required. The shell has a MAWP of 150 PSIG at 300 degrees F and an MDMT of 35 degrees F at 150 PSIG. The tubes can withstand pressures of 150 PSIG at 350 degrees F and have an MDMT of 35 degrees F at 150 PSIG. Howard's Engineering offers the highly efficient 600 Series Heat Exchanger, designed to transfer heat from steam to water and provide an instantaneous supply of hot water. With an 8" shell and a 24" bundle, this heat exchanger features 2 passes and a surface area of 17.5 Sq Ft. It is constructed with high-quality materials and meets ASME Code, Section VIII, Division 1 standards.
