Today we have a nice HEAVY DUTY INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH SINGER 185J SEWING MACHINE All METAL no PLASTICE In very good working condition Made in USA in 1950's This Sewing Machine is ideal for Jeans, Quilt, Dresses, Leather, Tents, Sailboat Cover, Auto Upholstery, Horse Blankets, and more !!!! Up for bid is a nice Singer 185J heavy duty all steel sewing machine, and is in very good working condition. I pick up this machine from the orginal own that was useing this machine for sewing leather, upholstery. This machine has been completely serviced, checked and cleaned, wireing is in very good condition, it is in great working conditions. This machine has been tested on 2 layer of 5oz Leather, 8 layer of Heavy Denim, 6 layer of Vinyl, 4 layer of upholstery vinyl and more, worked great. All test was made useing 15 x 1 size #18 needle, Coats t26 upholstery thread. Coats t26 upholstery thread is equivalent to commercial #69 nylon thread. This nice Singer 185J is a heavy duty straight stitch sewing machine top load bobbin. With this heavy duty sewing machine you can sew light to heavy fabric's like: Chiffon, Silk, Synthetic Jerseys, Crepe, Voile, Fine Lace, Cotton, Vinyl, Leather, Linen, Satin, Upholstery, Canvas, Duck, and much more.
