It is most likely out of calibration like 99% of them being used. Our Company Ctech Electronics will calibrate your tester according to military standards (according to the military field maintenance manual), with a custom Gm simulator and calibration tubes as a reference. The service assumes a working unit. The calibration consists of: All calibration procedures follow the official military field maintenance documents for these testers. Check operation of all switches and check tube sockets, clean and tighten as required. Align all controls. Check main meter operation for sticking, zero set and full scale sensitivity. Correct if needed.* Test and replace Electrolytic capacitors as needed.* Check all other capacitors and replace as required. * Check fuse lamp and pilot bulb. Replace as needed. * Check operation of leakage/short detection circuitry. correct as needed. * Check all 3 tubes. Weak and asymmetrical tubes must be replaced. * Check and adjust all voltages (Pate, Screen, Bias and Signal) according to TV-2 military calibration procedures using a high accuracy voltmeter with proper loading. Adjust line circuit to proper marks. Properly Calibrate and recheck the all Gm and signal ranges on function switch with Gm simulator and calibration tubes. If calibration cannot be achieved resistors may need to be replaced.* Check and Adjust all voltage and signal meters and check and correct zero adjust* Lightly clean front panel and case. Clean switches and sockets. Retention if needed. * Check the unit with a variety of good and bad power and small tubes Your unit will operate as accurately as it possibly can. * Parts and/or labor at extra cost if modification or replacement needed. The calibration cost does not include the cost of any required parts replacement/labor or circuit modifications required. You will be notified if this is the case. Most times this is not required to get the TV-2 to calibrate, if the unit is in working condition. Some models may require adding resistors at extra cost. Typical turn around is generally 15 - 20 working days but varies with work load. Check with us for turnaround times. The shipping calculator is an estimate on return shipping. We will refund or bill you for the difference between this and the actual shipping charges, since we only charge actual shipping fees.
