Precise measurement of very tiny voltages and differences in voltage using an Arduino has never been an easy task. With a limited ADC resolution and only single-ended inputs it has usually taken special op-amps and tricky circuits to get even half sensible results. Well, it is a problem no more. The HPDAQ (High Precision Data Acquisition) board from Majenko Technolgies is all you need. With four channels of true differential analog inputs, built in pre-amplifier with gain of up to 8x, selectable 12-, 14- or 16-bit sampling and a convenient I2C interface this board is perfect for directly interfacing to the most sensitive of sensors. The built-in precise voltage reference of 2048mV means that at its most sensitive it is capable of measuring voltage differences as tiny as 7.8125µV. The heavily filtered and stabilized power supply circuit cleans up any noise from the incoming power to give incredibly stable and precise results. It is perfect for connecting things like strain gauges, thermistors, light sensors, etc using a Wheatstone Bridge to make precise measurements of the tinyest of changes. A simple thermistor and three resistors are capable of measuring temperature changes to the thousandth of a degree.  Specifications Chip: Microchip MCP3428 Mixed Signal Sigma-Delta A/D Converter Resolution: Selectable 12-, 14- or 16-bit Sampling Rate: 240sps at 12-bit, 60sps at 14-bit and 15sps at 16-bit Pre-amplifier gain: Selectable 1x, 2x, 4x or 8x Channels: 4 true differential Communication: I2C Applications Highly sensitive scales using strain gauges Precision environmental monitoring Battery current and voltage sensing Resources Arduino Library: https://github.com/MajenkoLibraries/HPDAQ Chip Datasheet: http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/22226a.pdf See it in action: https://youtu.be/tJmaHp09XLs
