The probe works with many different types of CNC machine and has the ability to be customised and used with different control boards. The main requirements are that you can provide the probe with 5 volts in one of the wires and place the second wire into your signal port/terminal. Your control board may either have a + and - for an input signal e.g., input +1 and -1 for live and ground for the input. Or it may have a 5V terminal to be shared amongst your different components and just a single terminal for an input that also acts as your ground terminal. In this case you want to wire to your 5V and the input terminal you want to assign to receive your signal. 2. Does it work with Mach 3/4/Grbl etc? Yes, the probe is compatible with Mach 3/4/Grbl etc. providing the settings are correct. e.g. Have you told the software which terminal the signal will be received? Before doing a live probing test on the machine it is always recommended to manual test with your hands first. As in using your hands make contact with the probe and check that you can visually see the signal is being received in the software. 3. Do you supply instructions so a non-technical person can get it to work? We do provide specific g code examples in a pdf, send a message after you have purchased, and we will send it to you. Specific instructions are not provided for wiring due to many machine variations on the market, but I am happy to provide support via eBay messages.
