For sale is a HP Designjet 1050c printer. We purchased this printer new from HP directly in 2006. Last spring the printer stopped printing. The display came up with "Switch power off, check printhead path, type 2 error. We were in the middle of large projects and could not wait for service/repair so we purchased a HP T520. Via the Hp trouble shooting site this is what the cause is; Switch Power Off Check Printhead Path (2) Shutdown (velocity shutdown): An obstacle in the printhead path The ink tube system is worn on printers older than six months and catching the printer's left edge of its tube or front guide assemblies Dirty encoder strip A media/paper jam This printer does not print and is in need of service and/or could be used for parts.
