The EagleJet II was designed specifically for the people at Anheuser Busch (Budweiser) to economically print huge photographs, big posters, large size drawings, construction plans, blueprints, electrical/plumbing diagram, presentation charts, banners, signs, or any oversize pictures or documents. This printer equipped with UV (pigment-based) ink system (HP-83). The HP UV (pigmented) ink is clearly superior to the older, our of date “DYE” HP-81 ink. The HP UV (pigmented ink) has four-times the longevity and print permanence as the older HP DYE ink system. DYE based inks will fade from sunlight in a very short period of time – as quick as 3 weeks! This printer was moved over to the updated UV “Pigmented” ink HP-83 so that graphics for outdoor display can last over 1 year before fading! The HP 5500 EagleJet II will work virtually with any computer with standard LPT printer port, or RS232 COM port. Perfect for graphic designers, architects, photographers, advertisement professionals, real estate agents, wedding planers, restaurants, and more. Great for any big or small contraction and engineering companies!
