The ICstation Wireless Transmission Module is designed for Arduino and features infrared code decoding capabilities. This module supports both serial and parallel operation, with a baud rate of 9600 for the serial port. After receiving an infrared signal, the module automatically outputs the decoded data through the serial port. Additionally, the module can receive data through a serial or parallel port and transmit the data through an infrared transmitting tube. For serial port data reception, users can connect their serial port devices to the module's serial port. When the infrared receiving tube detects an NEC encoding format infrared signal, it automatically decodes the data and transmits it via the serial port. This module supports NEC coding equipment decoding chips and allows for remote control of equipment using the NEC code format. It has a range of applications, including wireless data transmission, remote control of infrared equipment (such as TVs and refrigerators), and smart home applications. When using the module, users should aim the infrared transmitting tube towards the infrared receiving tube of the other module. The transmission distance can be reduced if the angular deviation is too large, which may result in Users should note that there is a timeout detection module to prevent errors in data format. If the time interval between data and the data is less than 10ms, or if the data string (a group of four data) and the time interval between data strings are less than 100ms, this may result in errors. Additionally, if parallel data is written with a time interval of less than 10us, this may also result in errors. Incorrectly formatted data will not be transmitted until the data is correctly formatted. To use the module with a serial port, users should connect their serial port equipment to the module's serial ports. They should then send four 8-bit data pieces to the module, including the NEC protocol address code, address radix-minus-one complement, data code, and data radix-minus-one complement. The module will then transmit the data through an infrared transmitting tube according to the NEC protocol coding format. To send data via the parallel port, users should connect their parallel port devices to the module's parallel port. The module will read the user's equipment parallel data through the M1 port, and then transmit the data through an infrared tube according to the data using the NEC protocol coding format. The working voltage of the ICstation Wireless Transmission Module is DC5V, and its communication distance is between 5 and 10 meters. The module also supports the NEC protocol coding format.
