This is a great steno machine that is infinitely adjustable. If you have any issues with pain in your hands or wrists, you can adjust the pods individually to alleviate the pain and help with fatigue. The Neutrino Group who makes this Infinity Ergonomic writer has some of the best customer service I have ever encountered. When you buy this machine you can call them up and they will get you up and running by installing their software on your computer. They will also provide you with the most up-to-date manual. This machine has been sitting in my closet for a little over a year. I had it professionally tuned up by The Neutrino Group in July of 2013. I used this writer with Case CATalyst, but it will work with any translation software. About this Infinity Ergo stenographic writer: - wide asterisk keys on the left - double wide asterisk keys on the right - wide "d" "z" keys - individual number keys (much easier to press than a full number bar) - two additional "function" keys that you can program to your preference (I used one to "page up" in my translation software) - each key can be individually adjusted if you have problems with dragging or too light of a touch on one or more of your fingers - can be upgraded by The Neutrino Group to be a professional model or to add a display screen. Being able to upgrade to professional is great because you will not have to learn a new machine when you pass your certification. - new leather keypads added at time of tune-up in July, 2013 - beautiful and subtle shiny, dark blue - lightweight tripod that adjusts to angle into you if you like (see picture 5) - hard carrying case included - adjustment tool set included - FREE SHIPPING I loved writing on this machine and it did not take long for me to adjust from a standard keyboard to this ergo design. All you have to do is start with both pods together and after a few days you can begin the process of moving them apart to where you find your groove.
