After transferring, turn the garment inside out before washing in cold water. Use detergent at the manufacturer's recommended amount and do not use bleach or bleach alternative detergents. Remove the garment promptly from the washer and dry it on a low temperature setting. For better color retention during washing, it's recommended to use the hot peel method when peeling the transfer. If you want to transfer several images on one To transfer your image using a heat press, preheat the press to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Press the garment for 3-5 seconds to remove wrinkles and moisture. Peel the liner from the back of the printed transfer and place it onto the garment with the print side facing up. Add parchment paper on top and apply medium to high pressure while pressing for 25 seconds. Wait 2 minutes to peel the transfer if you want to do so while it's cold. Wait 5 seconds if you want to do so while it's still hot/warm. To transfer your image using an iron, preheat it to the "Cotton" setting and lay a pillowcase on your ironing surface. Place the garment on the pillowcase and pre-iron it to remove wrinkles and moisture. Peel the liner from the back of the printed transfer and place your image print side up on the garment. Again, add parchment paper on top and use firm, steady pressure while ironing each area of the sheet for 20 seconds at a time. Wait 2 minutes to peel the transfer if you want to do so while it's cold. Wait 5 seconds if you want to do so while it's still hot/warm. Inkjet Dark Transfer Paper is perfect for dark colored fabrics, including cotton and cotton/polyester blends. For best results, choose a fabric with a tight weave and wash it before transferring. You will also need a heat press or iron (without steam), a pillowcase, parchment paper, and a hard, smooth surface like Formica (do not use an ironing board). Store any unused transfer papers in a resealable poly bag in a cool, dry area. To print your image, bring the paper to room temperature before printing. Do not mirror or flip the image before printing. Recommended print settings vary by printer brand. Do not use printers with heating elements, such as the Hewlett-Packard 1200C. Load the sheet into your printer with the non-glossy (unlined) side facing up.
