This is a scintillation counter from 1955 at the peak of the Uranium rush. It has a 2" PMT AND 21/4" x 11/8" NaI crystal.  There are specs and also more info in the ads that are included in the photo section. The inside of the case bottom and the bottom itself have sheet rubber applied either to absorb shock or cover defects.  The side of the case bottom has some pinhole corrosion . (See last photo) Please note that the crystals on these vintage units are probably not functional due to moisture damage.  The PMT appears to be fine but the assembly was not taken apart to asses the crystal No reserve!
