LOCKSTITCH BUTTON SEWER | BUTTON ATTACHING MACHINE MODEL: JUKI LK-980 Make: JUKI Model: LK-980 Description: The machine was last used by a major US uniform manufacturer to attach buttons on pants. This machine is extremely fast with less than 3 seconds sewing cycle. It is currently set up with an adjustable button setting clamp and you can see a variety of button sizes that was sewn with this machine in one of the pics below. You can adjust it to sew different sizes - however, they are all 4-hole buttons . The machine features an EFKA direct drive electronic motor requiring 220 Volt, single phase power. The motor drives the needle positioning system, electronic foot control, automatic trimmer, etc. This motor only uses electricity during the sewing cycle and does not waste power by constantly turning like a clutch motor. 110 Volt power conversion is available via transformer for an additional $100.00 This machine also requires about 50 to 60 PSI of air pressure for the foot/clamp lift and hold. The machine is in excellent sewing condition. I have tested it by sewing one of the larger buttons you see in the pic below - with size 40 thread on denim material. Wonderful speed, stitch quality and unbelievable STRENGTH of stitch.
